Oshkosh Herald LLC is looking for an editor for its start-up weekly community newspaper in Oshkosh, WI. The paper’s focus will be on coverage of city government, local business, area schools, high school sports, and community news.

We will challenge you to write every size and type of story on a variety of beats and encourage you to push the envelope. Candidate must be highly motivated to generate stories and take photographs while overseeing the small newsroom (including freelance contributors and stringers). We’re looking for a team player who has excellent leadership and communication skills, computer skills, a strong work ethic and a desire to package and publish a quality product. Qualifying candidates must be well organized and proficient at multitasking and hitting deadlines. Must be able to work on a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, and meet deadlines. Meticulous proof reading required.

Study Abroad in North Ireland through ieiMedia's Armagh program

Applicants to ieiMedia’s Armagh program can choose from tracks in reporting/ multimedia, documentary film making, creative writing or performance/ playwriting. Students learn and practice skills in their chosen field while sharing with each other through travel, readings, class activities and guest speakers. Students have classes at the AmmA Centre, a technologically enhanced multimedia center. Students will also spend a week at Glebe House in County Down and visit Belfast, with an optional trip to Dublin. They present their work at the John Hewitt International Summer School, an international festival of writing and performance at the Marketplace Theatre in Armagh

Practice international, multimedia, social-first journalism under diverse award-winning media producers in a European crossroads steeped in culture. Go deeper – see the heart beyond the headlines when reporting on issues as global as the region’s refugee crisis or as local as your morning barista’s narrative.

All types of student journalists are welcome in this course, from broadcast personalities to student newsroom copy editors and everything in between. During this course, you will work as a team to develop as multimedia storytellers. Each participant will have a chance to leverage his or her strengths (and get digital clips for portfolios) but will also be challenged to cooperatively develop new journalistic tools under the guidance of our seasoned faculty mentors.

Cato Institute, Washington D.C. - Offer spring, fall and summer internships

Students and early-career professionals play an instrumental role in helping the Cato
Institute advance libertarian principles. Cato hosts interns for three semester-long
sessions each year—spring, summer, and fall. Assigned to specific departments based
on their interests and backgrounds, interns are able to work one-on-one with scholars
and staff on research and communication of that research. Interns also participate in an
